The California Highway Patrol (CHP), hereinafter referred to as “Department,” requires the services of a consultant to assist the Local Area Network (LAN) Unit in accomplishing the Office 365 (O365) Microsoft Office security hardening requirements.
The Department is seeking a consultant demonstrating core competencies in security (best practices), Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Data Loss Prevention, and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). The primary goal of this contract is to ensure all components of O365 are securely deployed to all users statewide, focusing on compatibility, security, improved speed and enforcement of best practices for security hardening of all components offered in O365, and mitigating the department’s risk associated with cyberattacks. Working directly with the consultant, Information Technology Section (ITS) will identify security risks, implement a plan to secure O365, and perform extensive testing prior to activating high risk services. This directly supports CHP’s efforts in securing its environment from unwanted threats
