Key Responsibilities include:
Implement enhancements to existing Ab Initio Graphs and s, within the data warehouse application environment
Create new Graphs and s as required.
Troubleshoot and analyze complex production problems related to source data
Troubleshoot and analyze existing Ab-initio code as well as fix complex Ab-initio Graphs to resolve production incidents
Collaborate with the business analysts and ETL team members to resolve complex data design issues/provide optimal solutions that meet business requirements and benefits system performance.
Follow all enterprise software development lifecycle processes and standards
Develop and foster a positive relationship with team members, team leads and business partners
Develops and updates documentation, plans technical procedures and user guides
Strictly follow change and incident management processes
Participate in design reviews and ensure application of best practices and standards
Review ETL code for consistency, quality and performance
Implement best practices for production environments
Review release code in lower environments and ensure they follow production standards.
Encourage and participate in knowledge sharing as necessary
6+ years of application development and implementation experience in Ab Initio GDE, Co>Op, MDH, EME
8+ years of information technology experience
6+ years of data warehouse experience
2+ years of scheduling experience in Control-M
1+ years of Unix Bash shell scripting experience
Other Desired Experience
3+ years experience of working with Ab Initio Query>IT, Express>IT, Control-Center, Ab Initio Test Framework, Technical Repository Management Console, Data Profiler, DQE, BRE, Continuous Flows
2+ years of experience of Cognos development
3+ years of experience with RDBMS
4+ years of working in a UNIX/Linux based environment
1+ years of experience working in a big data environment (Hadoop, Hive, Aster)
Experience with MQ, XML and Java
Experience of other ETL Tools such as DataStage/Informatica
Ability to influence change within a diverse team environment
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
